An Unforgettable October Elopement at Dream Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park
Welcome to Kate Kerr Photography! I’m excited to share this Elopement at Dream Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park. Nestled in the heart of Colorado, this breathtaking location provided the perfect backdrop for an adventurous and intimate celebration of love for my couple’s adventure elopement.
Hiking to Dream Lake
October in the Rockies is a truly special time. The air is crisp, the skies are a brilliant blue, and the fall foliage adds a touch of gold to the landscape. Our adventure began early in the morning as we met our eloping couple at the trailhead. Equipped with warm layers, hiking boots, and wearing their wedding attire-we set off on the trail. The hike to Dream Lake is moderately challenging but absolutely worth it. As we ascended, we were treated to stunning views of towering peaks and dense forests.
A Private Ceremony at Dream Lake
Upon reaching Dream Lake, we were greeted by a scene straight out of a fairy tale. The crystal-clear waters reflected the surrounding mountains and trees, creating a mirror-like effect that was simply mesmerizing. The tranquility of the lake, combined with the awe-inspiring beauty of the Rockies, set the stage for an intimate and heartfelt ceremony. We chose a secluded spot by the lake for my couple to exchange vows. The simplicity of their setup—just the two of them, myself, and the breathtaking natural surroundings—was a testament to the purity of their love. As they spoke their vows, the emotions were palpable, and I felt incredibly honored to capture these raw and beautiful moments.
